New Smart Soundbar 300 - stuck on "please wait" when connected to SoundTouch App

Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra Android 11 and iPad iPadOS 14.7.1

 

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

New out of box. Plugged in, got the amber light to set up wifi.  Same result with both phone and ipad:  was able to connect to the speaker.  "Please wait" with moving icon was on screen for about 2 hours on each.  

 

What environment do you experience the issue in? Bedroom

 

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

New out of box.

 

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Tried factory resetting the bar, resetting the routers, restarting phone and ipad, and combinations thereof.  It just sits there on Please wait - both phone and iPad

Thank you for posting and reaching out to the Bose Community for the first time. 

 

You will be experiencing this issue due to the Smart Soundbar 300 using the Bose Music app rather than the Bose SoundTouch app. We have a Soundbar called the SoundTouch 300 Soundbar that would use the SoundTouch application. 

 

If you run into any setup issues with the Bose Music app please do let us know!
