Summary
An error message ‘-? not a valid value for Double’ is received when trying to open a configuration file saved on a PC with foreign language support. This issue is known to occur with Russian support but could also affect other languages.

Cause
The issue occurs when the configuration includes gain values set to -inf when the file is saved. The -inf symbol is saved incorrectly as ‘-?’ which is an invalid value and hence ControlSpace Designer cannot correctly parse the file when it is subsequently opened.

Workaround
Setting the gains at -60dB rather than -inf, or using mute rather than -inf are possible workarounds for this issue.
