I'm using a bose t1 tonematch for the first time and really love the product. I have a BLUE baby bottle connected to the t1 and it's picking the audio up from the mic (green indicator). I'm having an issue connecting my pc to my t1 to where I can use my mic on the pc. I looked through some previous posts about a possible firmware update. My DSP firmware is 1.8, I'm unsure if it is the latest. I messed around with USB to PC under Prefs, but had no luck. Any help?
Hello VershawnW,
Your PC is probably defaulting to your PC's internal "microphone" or "line in" as its source. On a PC, you must go into the "Sound" settings in Windows' Control Panel. Depending on your version of Windows, you may have 4 or 5 "tabs" at the top: "Playback, Recording, Sounds, Communications" )or "Volume, Sounds, Audio, Voice, Hardware" on older PC's.) If your "Sounds" app has the four-tab version, you need to click on "Recording" and make sure the Bose USB Audio is selected
If you have five tabs, click on the "Audio" tab, and make sure Bose USB audio is selected in the "Sound Recording" drop-down box and the Apply button. I don't remember exactly, but I think if you want to hear it through your PC speakers, you must also click the "Voice" tab and make sure Bose USB Audio is selected there as well. (Sorry, not sure on that step.)
I'm not familiar enough with Apple Mac products to give you specific steps, but I'm sure there are similar settings to choose your sound source.
Does that help?
