I was just wondering when you have the S1 Pro Speaker on a stand how will the speaker power cable reach the power supply!!

Buy 5m power cable, they are available...

Heavy gauge 3 prong extension cord.

Run on batteries for at least 4 hours, probably more...?

Yes I think Bose assume you will just use the battery and the lead is just for charging. Thanks

The power cord uses an "IEC C13" connector on the end that plugs into the S1 Pro.  It's the type you would commonly find on desktop computers.  I've found them in various lengths in office supply stores or online computer and music equipment sites. Just search for "IEC C13 power cord" -- they're generic and don't have to be Bose branded.
