Pro32/Sub2 Review So Far :)

Bose has really out done themselves with this system. First night I got it I did an A/B test vs the L1 Model II with a B2.

Let me first say I have been an L1 user for my DJ/KJ/live sound shows since 2008. I am a big fan. I started out with the L1 Classic and Mod. I with B1’s and then got the Model II systems with the B2’s.

Now back two the A/B test... the I started with the Mod.II at a moderately high volume listened for a bit and heard the familiar sound that I have come to love and then I faded to the Pro32... WOW just WOW! It is hard for me to describe how amazing the new system sounds.

I will try.

First thing I noticed was the volume the Pro32 is quite a bit louder by a noticeable margin. Second thing I noticed was the Pro32 was even more clear (didn’t think this was possible) especially on vocals. The added headroom allows for every instrument to also shine as well. The snare drum which gets lost on the Model II at loud volumes sounded punchy and loud on the Pro32\Sub2. The extra headroom  seems to be coming into play here. Songs like Elvis Can’t Help Falling In Love on the new system sound “remastered” compared to when played on the Modern II.

The A/B test was an astonishing experience. Totally worth the upgrade!

Now a little bit about the Sub2 system. The B2 was a nice upgrade from two B1’s, but the Sub2 is on a whole new level! 37hz and under 52lb. and take a look at the foot print! The Sub2 not only is probably twice as loud as the B2, but it also has a rich tone as well. I have always really liked the B2, but slide over there’s a new sheriff in town!

If you are on the fence about this system... I understand... because so was I, but once I heard it for myself I was just as excited as the first time I got first L1 system all those years ago!

Love hearing this. I’ve loved my model 2’s for djing for many years. Excited to play with the 32’s.

Did you receive your new system(s)? What did you end up getting?

I did the same A/B test with my L1M2/B2 vs Pro32/Sub2.  Agree with everything you said except the Sub2 is more like 3x B2 output and the 37Hz extension makes the new system a night and day improvement from the L1 M2! I'm comparing the quality and extension of the Sub2 to my home Hi-fi SVS SB3000 which is a sealed sub that goes down to 18Hz, very well regarded in the home 2 channel/home theatre world.  An experiment I did:  from an Aux out on my mixer I connected a RCF 702 sub.  This sub is 12" 1,400 watts,40 Hz extension.  With a push of a slider the RCF added that typical 50-70Hz mid bass punch that some people have noticed is missing from the Sub2.

I did play both systems together and they complimented each other beautifully.  The M2 adds some different tone that the Pro32 lacks.  My advice to people is, don't sell your L1 M2!

I got the 32’s with sub 1’s and the 16’s
