Purchasing a second ToneMatch cable

Can anyone tell me where to purchase a second Bose ToneMatch cable? I'm hoping to connect a second L1 Pro 8 speaker to the T4S mixer via the ToneMatch connection. One cable was supplied with the mixer, but I cannot find anywhere to purchase a second cable separately.

FYI I'm based in the UK, so if anyone knows of a UK distributor that would be a bonus!

Thanks in advance,

Robin

Hello robinportermusic,

I just did a quick search for :"Bose Tonematch cable" on eBay and found a few sources (one in the UK.)  You can also search the internet for "Ethercon cable" (which is what the Bose cable actually is) and find many more sources (usually computer equipment suppliers) and different lengths.

The core of the Ethercon/Tonematch cable is a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable, common in computer networking, up to 50' long.  Lots of folks just keep one or two standard CAT5 cables handy -- they work fine.  (NOTE: The signal used by the Bose systems is not an ethernet signal, so do not plug it into any computer equipment.)  The locking shell/hoods on the cable ends, commonly sold by Neutrik, can be purchased separately and added to a standard CAT5 cable.

Does that help?

It does indeed help - thanks so much!!

I have to say Bose have been pretty useless with this - one of these cables should be supplied as standard with the L1 Pro speakers, or two of them with the mixing desks. At the very least you should be able to purchase these cables separately from their website (in different lengths), and from any supplier that sells these Bose products.

I've been in contact with Bose through Whatsapp, email and telephone and none of them could provide me with a supplier... very unimpressed!!

Cat5 ethernet cable with Neutrik connectors.  pick your color and length......Bose doesn't hide this but, these are common cables, thank-goodness, and can be purchased from many, many sources.  Keep a few handy if you are rough on cables.
