Hi all,
I have recently purchased 2 pairs of Bose QC 35 II Headphones to pair up with my Samsung TV.
I was hoping that I could use the Music Share feature to allow 2 people to listen to the TV audio at the same time.
Unfortunately I seem to be having difficulty doing this.
I can pair one pair of headphones with the TV and it works perfectly, the problem comes when I share the audio through the app on my phone with the other pair of headphones. The audio drops out and goes back to audio coming out of the TV and nothing from either pairs of headphones.
Does anyone know how I can get round this issue and allow 2 pairs of headphones to share the same TV audio?
Thanks in advance.
Nick
Hello Nick,
Thanks for reaching out.
The Music Share feature does require connection to the Bose Connect app on your Smartphone device, it will not be possible to use this to your TV as the app is needed.
Hi Tegan,
Thank you for replying so quickly!!
That's really disappointing that we can't share the TV audio.
It would be such a great feature if it was possible!
(I do not work for Bose) If you are willing to give up the BT, you can connect a 'splitter' wire to the back of your Samsung TV and then wire from the end of the splitter to your two headphones. Keep in mind for this solution to connect a splitter to the back of the TV you may need to convert either from an HDMI cable on one end or convert from an digital audio optical connector on one end.
Another possibility is to purchase a 'device' that separately has BT (often used for adding BT in planes or for TVs without BT) which allows for multiple device sharing. Check out for example devices in Amazon resulting in the search "Bluetooth Plane". Keep in mind you may prefer a device that plugs in versus running on rechargables/or batteries.
Here is an example of one (but not the only possibility):

Thank you Joelirwin,
I went ahead and purchased the TaoTronics wireless Bluetooth adapter with optical socket. (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B083SFRLSQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
I was concerned that there would be a significant delay in audio. Luckily the delay is barely noticeable and perfectly usable!
I can highly recommend this solution/adapter to anyone with a similar question.
Thanks again for everyone's help and advice.
