Quiet Comfort earbuds - voice assistant is deafening and will probably damage your hearing

Dear Bose,

 

I'ver just received my replacement (for two useless sets of quiet control 30) earbuds, and the voice assistant is ridiculously loud and there appears to be no way of reducing the volume to safe levels.

 

Please can you advise how I can either do this, or disable it totally for use with the buds. I don't want to disable this on my phone as I use it. I'm using iPhone 12 Pro max.

This will be related to a volume setting on your device, not the headphones. To remedy this, while the voice assistant is speaking, press the Vol- on your iPhone to set the assistant's volume level.
