RE: Xvive U3 with T1 or T4S Tonematch

Hello all,

If I plug in the wireless Xvive U3 device (to make my mic wireless) into the T1 or T4S Tonematch and input the mic brand for the set up of the mixer.  Would that still work as if the physical cable hook up directly to the mic?  I meant would the T1 or T4S able to apply the presets to the mic wirelessly via the Xvive U3 device?  Thank you.

In a word, yes.

All the U3 is serving is to replace the XLR cable to the mixer. I have 2 U3s with 2 dynamic Shure Beta 58A mics and continue to use the ToneMatch settings. Just in case, I always have backup XLR cables if I experience some sort of interference at a venue with the wireless which rarely has happened thus far. I’ve noticed no difference in sound quality between a cable and the U3.

I use both a Boss wireless rig for guitars and an Xvive U3 in a number of configurations; either to send my mic wirelessly to the T1, or to broadcast wirelessly from my T1 to an S1 Pro PA. In all of the cases, the wireless unit doesn’t interfere with or color the sound - it just substitutes for a cable. The Tonematch settings all work as expected.
