I want to record direct from my T4s to my Zoom H6. However, when I connect the L/R outputs on the T4s to the Zoom H6 using TS/TRS 1/4" cables, I get nothing but loud hiss and static. What am I doing wrong?
Hi TW8020!
This is strange. What inputs do you have going into the T4S?
Does the static still occur if you connect the outputs on the T4S to a set of speakers?
Thanks for the response Dylan. I have tried 1/4" TRS AND 1/4"TS Into the T4S L/R Aux Out. I can get a somewhat clean signal using the Headphone out with a TRS.
Hi TW8020,
Make sure you're using the T4S's main stereo 1/4" outputs instead of the AUX outputs - located next to the USB ports:
Hope this helps!
Yes Sir... Use the Main R, L outputs not auxiliary 5, and 6... If there is still an issue make sure your pan setting is at least 12 o'clock in the middle, or all the way right for R output, and all the way left for L output... I've had best experiences with TRS cables myself, but I've read TS will work... I personally use TRS shielded, and balanced cables to my speakers or anything else like the zoom H6 Check all your levels in and make sure to gain stage... Check the master out in the settings on the T4S, and make sure they are post if you want the effects, or pre if not...You can use the Auxiliary if you wanted due to R, L, being used some other way, but then you would still have to check all the settings in the master input/output area to route the audio as well... if you've done all that and still have issues I would check my cables, and then on to settings in the H6 which is a whole other area of issues to make sure you have checked to eliminate the issue...hope this helps... I'm no pro but, I've learned alot from trial, and error, reading on this site, and across the web from experiencing similar issues...If you do all that I'm sure it's probably not the Bose unit rather something simple in the H6...Goodluck!
