Release Notes
Maintenance Updates
There are no customer-facing changes just minor changes to ensure compatibility with the Bose Connect app.
The fastest way to get the new firmware is to use a PC or MAC and follow the instructions here: S1 Pro System Firmware Update
OR
If you use the Bose Connect app. It should detect that there is new firmware available and display "Preparing product update".
If you see this, make sure your S1 Pro is connected to AC power. You can listen to music or do other things with your device as long as you don't shut it off or lose your internet connection. This process can take quite a while depending on the size of the firmware update file.
When you are ready to update the S1 Pro system make sure the S1 Pro is connected to AC power. Then, tap UPDATE. This part should be done in under 5-10 minutes.
This is my 1st post, normally if no problem I hardly post anything.
I did firmware update for S1 pro last night via laptop, hardwire to unit. After update found speaker too loud, very loud. I can not low volume on any channels. I use this s1 to extend my computer’s sound.
first I connect to line in on S1 and work great, after latest up date. Super loud even lowest volume still too loud so I move to mic input. It still too loud but acceptable.
Another issue, during update firmware. I got disconnect from laptop to S1 at 15% 3-4 times so I remove battery and it proceed to 95% then laptop try to reinstall S1 then restart. I may not complete update firmware but when I reconnect S1. It said already update can not do anything.
Bose should come up with another way to update your system. Bose connect app will not do the job. I connect S1 direct to my iphone and play music but bose connect app did not connect to S1.
Please come out with another update that reduce volume to proper level from night to event.
