Hi,
i have 2 main uses for my L1 mkII’s.
One is F.O.H for world music gigs, turned in 45 degrees to act as monitors as well as F.O.H.
Sometimes at these festivals DJ’s run through the system.
The other use is stereo monitors for my Roland TDW20 E-kit, placed 10 feet apart behind me.
(fantastic sound).
I just talked to Andy at UK Bose. I asked him whats the best way to maximise the bass from my 2 new B2’s.
He recommended that i stack them to get the 3dB coupling bonus.
I asked about phase issues and he said there wouldn’t be any.
So,
DJ’s, do you stack your subs when running stereo L1’s?
Cheers Tom.
YES
dead center
Agree with Austin, stacked in center gives much better output vs. one on each side.
I have used them stacked only one time, but the L1 was wired in mono, I use 2 L1 m2 with 8 B1 and 2 packlite, the B1 was stacked under the table 2 by 2.
The result was terrible, no bass at all!
Here’s the pic from the setup, the other sound system on the picture was’nt working.

Hi Jota Stroeter,
"no bass at all"
That sounds like something was out of phase or that the B1s were sitting in a really unfortunate position in the room where reflections were causing bass cancellation. You would want to avoid placing them from 2-7 feet from a wall. Reference: Bass Module Positioning
I also wonder if the large speakers that were NOT being used could have been acting as bass traps.
Thanks guys i’ll try stacking them at the next opportunity.
