Good evening,
I have a T4S Tonematch mixer and I want to set up one of my AKG mics and I can't.
I have one AKG WMS 450 Wireless
And one AKG C 1000 S
Is it supposed to use a specific preset?
How can I use this mic the right way?
Please I really need help

Are you using this with a lavalier microphone (in the circle in the picture below)?
Are you using this for spoken word or singing?
You can try these Presets
Category: Vocal Mics Preset: Headworn Mics
Or
Category: Vocal Mics Preset: Hi Gain, bright
Or
Category: Vocal Mics Preset: Hi Gain, normal

You can try
Category: Vocal Mics Preset: Handheld Mics
How can I use this mic the right way?
For the lavalier microphone, position the microphone as close as possible for the talker/performer's mouth.
For the AKG C1000S , use the PPC1000 converter for the best gain-before-feedback. This is an excerpt from page 19 of the AKG C1000 S Owner's Manual

Please tell us how you are using the T4S. What's downstream from that (L1 Model 1S, L1 Model II, L1 Compact, S1 Pro) or something different.
How are you using the system (spoken word, singing, other)?
Thanks,
ST
Thank you for replying!
I am using T4s for singing
I don't use this mic you have showed me.
I am using a AKG WMS 450 Wireless Ultra High Frequency
And the other one is AKG C1000 S
I hope I can find the right way to work with them
Thank you

I would use the PPC1000 Polar pattern converter.
I would not use the PB1000 Presence boost adapter.
Try the same ToneMatch Preset

Please let us know how they work for you.

To all.
Has anybody used these microphones for vocals with a ToneMatch mixer?
AKG D5
AKG C1000 S
The usual approach for vocal microphones for which there is no ToneMatch Preset is to use
Category: Vocal Mics Preset: Handheld Mics
But if there's time, it's can be useful to take a spin through the other ToneMatch Presets in the Vocal Mics category.
What ToneMatch Presets have you used with these microphones.
Thanks,
ST

Hi Cristina
I sometimes use my AKG WMS40. I've played with different presets - Vocal/Handheld, Shure SM58 and Shure Beta 58A. I'm not sure which one I prefer (it's been a while since I used my AKG). Try all the Vocal Mics that are listed in the mixer and see which one you like best!

The microphone you have in your wireless WMS 450 is equivalent to an AKG D5 handheld mic. I have used the WMS 450 and WMS 470 radio-mic kits with portable recorders, but not with the T4S Tonematch. So hopefully someone here will be able to suggest a suitable setting (try starting with the 'handheld mics' list).
