Sleepbuds 2- Conditioning NiMh battery?

Since the Sleepbuds 2 switched to NiMh batteries, do they need to be fully discharged/recharged on a periodic basis, to retain battery longevity and avoid reducing battery capacity? NiMH batteries (unlike the Li-ion batteries found on modern mobile devices) typically have a "memory" effect. Or is there something special about these particular NiMh batteries, that don't require periodic conditioning?

Many of us followed the instructions step-by-step, and thus missed the chance to fully charge the battery for conditioning before initially operating the product (as recommended *later* in the instructions to do first). So going forward, I'd like to avoid any further charging mistakes that could reduce battery longevity.

As far as I can by the charging time, it seems that the does take care of the battery conditioning automatically, but perhaps it is better to wait for Bose's comment
