On Thursday, June 20th, a Bose Music firmware update will go out for Bose Smart Speakers and Soundbars making Long Form Audio an available feature for Google Assistant-enabled Smart Speakers.
Examples of Long-Form Audio formats are Podcasts, Long News Audio, Sleep Sounds, and Public Domain Books.
Bose Home Speaker 300 takes this update as its first update out of the box. The Soundbars 500/700 and Home Speaker 500 will download the update in the background and install the update between 2:00AM-5: 00 AM local time. For the Soundbars and Home Speaker 500, it may take 24-48 hours until the installs the update. Please leave the speaker connected to the network and idle overnight.
