Software for video, audio, and light control?

Does anyone know of a software program that does video, audio, and stage lighting control together? I direct an oratorio that has live performance (L1’s of course) with video on a screen, and we’re upgrading the show to have synced audio effects and click track with the video, and we also think we should control the stage lights with the video. It would be great to be able to edit any of it in rehearsal for fine tuning, so if there’s one program that does all of this - video editing, multitrack audio, and light control - that would be fantastic! I figured maybe some DJ’s would be doing this with the screen, audio, and lights I see so many DJ’s using.

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Some time back I had purchased Swift 4 Elite. It is a very robust product, that includes "iRemote" for iphones and Androids, that allow for remote features.

They have modules for DMX and relay type light control, individually or on a per song basis.
It is a bit much for one person, singing, playing guitar and trying to control everything at once, but it does work quite nice.
They have a demo available.

Thanks, Joel, I’m looking it over. I’m hoping to actually edit the video and multitrack audio along with controlling the lights in one app.

A few comments regarding Swift 4 Elite:

While it has nice Video Transitions and Effects, it is not a Video or Sound editor, like most DAW programs, sorry I did not catch that need on the first read.
Most Video editors I have worked with are quite intense on system resources, making it rather difficult to utilize them best in real time.

Regarding the light control, having done solo work and actual stage and theater type assistance, a seperate light controller is usually more convenient.
The ability of Swift to change lighting during an actual song was nice and not bad to setup, providing you did not mind going through each song in that production.
It was a bit difficult to get it all to fit on a Laptop/Tablet and concentrate on a performance, but easy to work with on my 32" desktop in the studio environment.

Well, since it’s an oratorio with specific video for each song at key points, we need the video to be editable with the light cues and timed sound effects and a drum click track we can play to. We’re looking at QLab for the Mac and VenueMagic for the PC.

If you mean audio and video editing software, you might as well try Joyoshare Video Cutter. Easy to use and full-featured. Importantly, it allows 5-time free use without limits.
