I’m currently using the Soundbar 700, surround rear speakers and the bass module 700 with my Sony AG8 TV.
It’s been stable for the last 8 months other than on one occasion where I did a factory reset on everything. Yesterday I turned it on and no audio was coming out.
It is connected via HDMI ARC.
I tested another source on the TV other than sky and nothing came out. I played music via the app on my mobile and it worked perfectly. I have unplugged everything and left it off for 10 minutes with still no luck.
My soundbar firmware is running v7.0.11-7872.
It would be great if there are some other suggestions. I want to avoid connecting via the optical cable but I saw one old firmware update stopped the soundbar working and solution was to do this.
This is a very exciting product. My toddler recently disabled the soundbar's microphone, and the same day ARC audio started working reliably. Airplay, however, stopped working. I love it!
I had similar problems with the device. it is so frustrating to deal with a sound-bar who's only job is to play sound but it fails. I called the customer support and they were happy to ship a new one hope this replacement works as described and at-least plays sound forget about voice assistant feature and other smart features.
Works with the optical input however i need my optical port on my tv for a hearing impaired device. Ive spent a lot of time on this and frankly disappointed with Bose. I have Many bose products and so this is the most user unfriendly device i have seen in a long time. Having remote control issues as well as ill post that issue on an appropriate feed.
I have had the 700 Soundbar since January 2019. When it works it is awesome! When it doesn’t it is a royal pain in my southern region. Everything that has been said on this thread has happened to me multiple times. Unplug the Soundbar and the TV from power. Unplug the HDMI from the ARC. Wait 60 seconds. Stand on you left foot only and pat the top of your head while waiting. And on and on it goes. This problem has risen again and I have the same problem all over again. I have followed all the protocols and still have no sound when connected to the TV. I can listen to music via Bluetooth so I know the Soundbar is working. However, when watching TV or AppleTV the sound ONLY comes thru the TV. I am moving in December and if this keeps up I will just leave it with the house and let the new owners deal with it. Richard
When you listen to music on the Bose 700 Soundbar it will disconnect from the TV. I created a routine in the Alexa App that reconnects the sound to the TV. The three actions that I used was ‘Bose Soundbar 700 Power Off’ then ‘Wait 5 seconds’ then ‘Bose Soundbar 700 Power On.’ I activate this routine when there is no sound to my TV by saying ‘Alexa, turn on sound.’ This works every time and is a fix since Bose 700 Soundbar does not switch back to the TV automatically.
I have just got my soundbar 700 back after getting it repaired and the no audio with arc problem has statrted meanwhile I have connected it through optical wire but before it was all working well another issue I am facing now is that most of the time my accessory spaekers get disconnected in middle of playing and get reconnected itself. Yesterday itself my firmware has got updated 8.0.13 and my samsung tv model no.UA65NU7100
