SoundLink Color II powers off constantly in meeting mode (Win10)

Bose product name: SoundLink Color II

Country: Canada

Firmware Version: 3.0.5

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on: Win10

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

The speaker powers off automatically after approximately 15 mins in meeting mode (Zoom/Teams) on Win 10. This issue is not found on MacOS Big Sur.

When not in meeting mode, i.e. only Stereo output is on, no issue found on both Win 10 and MacOS.

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

It's a new speaker which I got about 3 weeks ago. I found this issue when I started to use it for meetings.

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Update firmware (no need since it's already up-to-date)

Clear device list and connect to only one device didn't solve the problem

Restore the device didn't help: https://www.bose.ca/en_ca/support/article/restoring-your-systems-factory-settings-soundlink-color.html

Hello Bi_Bo,

Thanks for choosing Bose and welcome to the forums.

As this is only happening with Windows, it leads me to think that perhaps the Windows computer isn't sending an active audio signal when used with conferencing software. By default, your product turns off after 30 minutes of inactivity when using battery power. If there is no audio playing and no interaction with your product, it will turn off automatically after 30 minutes. We can change this by aimultaneously press and hold the AUX and Volume  buttons until a tone or voice prompt (if enabled) confirms the setting.

Let me know how this goes!
