Soundlink resolve battery life

Hi...Just bought two Soundlink resolve speakers.  They were advertised to have a 12 hour battery life. I found that it only lasts about 6 hours.  I have used them separately and in party mode.  Same battery life.  So I just left them both plugged in while listening in party mode.  After about 6 hours both speakers lost their charge even though they were plugged in.  I turned them off and in an hour or so they were both fully charged again.  Does anyone else have this issue?  Solution?  Love the sound and ease of use.

Hey Dean,

I hope you've had a great time with your SoundLink Revolve speakers so far - party mode really helps add to the overall experience.

I'm sorry to hear you've not been able to receive the 12 hours of expected battery life -this is quoted at normal listening levels. Would you say you have the speakers playing at a very high volume or moderate, when in party mode?

Have you tried charging the speakers in a different outlet/socket, or using a different cable to see if you notice an improvement to battery life?

Thanks for your response.  Yes...We listen at moderate to high volume as we place them outside by the pool.  Have plugged them into different outlets  no difference.

Thank you for clarifying.

Have you experienced 12 hours of battery life from either of the SoundLink Revolve speakers in the past? Or, have you always noticed around a 6-hour battery life on both units?

6 hours in both. Plus battery runs down even when plugged in while playing.

Thank you for confirming!

Have you tried to update the firmware? You can do this by clicking the LINK HERE on a laptop or PC and following the on-screen instructions.

Let me know if this improves your battery life.

Thanks for the help. I updated the firmware and it seems to be working fine now.

I have had my Bose Soundlink revolve plus for a month. The battery is only lasting around 2 hours playing at maximum volume. I knew it would not last 16 hours as advertised on maximum output. I did expect around 6 hours of battery life though. Surely 100% battery should last more than 2 hours?
