Soundlink revolve volume controls not working when using bluetooth source

Hi,

i got a new bose soundlink revolve and tried to connect through my iphone via bluetooth.

the volume controls/play/pause works fine from phone, but not from speaker buttons.

when i press the multi function button while a song is playing, it goes to mute instead of pause and i can never play it again through speaker button, also sound ( ) and (-) buttons also not working, could you please help me fixing this.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues that you've been having with the SoundLink Revolve and would be happy to help!

In this instance, I would advise resetting your Revolve .

 

This is done by unplugging the speaker from power, then turning it on using battery power. After this, press and hold the Multi-function (•○•) button for 10 seconds until the product lights glow, then release the button. 

This will reset the product. When done, please test the controls again!

I would also advise checking that this is up to date. This can be done by connecting this product to a computer/laptop, and clicking HERE to go to our online updater website. Once there, please follow the instructions as prompted to update this.

 

If you are still having issues, I would advise reaching out to support in your local country/region for further assistance, which can be done by clicking HERE, selecting your country/region and navigating to "Contact Us" at the bottom of that page.

I am also having problems with the volume control buttons on the device. I've updated the software and I've reset the device but it still doesn't work.

What device are you connecting to?

 

Does this occur across all Bluetooth devices you connect to your Revolve?

It works when connected to my phone but not to my laptop. I've got an ASUS F542U. It connects but the volume buttons still aren't working even after reset, update, and even reset again.

Are you able to control the volume from your connected laptop? Just not physically from the speaker itself?

Yeah, it works from the laptop controls but not with the buttons on the device.

 

My USB/wireless keyboard has volume controls on it. I thought it might be interfering with it but I've unplugged it and reset everything but it still isn't working.

My problem is with a brand new Sony bluetooth turntable.

The Bose speaker works perfectly with the Tv, the iPhone, the computer, the iPad...

The turntable works perfectly with a cheap speaker or with bluetooth headphones.

but...

when I Pair via BT the turntable and the Bose revolve, the sound is always the same (normal) but I Cant raise or low. Thanks-
