Starting on Tuesday, November 12th, the 23.0.10 firmware update will be rolled out for Bose SoundTouch Speakers, including Home Theater systems with SoundTouch. The update will roll out in phases and you may not receive the update until November 19th. When the update is available for your speaker(s), log into the SoundTouch app and accept the update.
In addition, there is a SoundTouch App update that will accompany this firmware update available for iOS and Android.
What is in this release?
23.0.10 firmware update brings with it fixes to bugs and other minor enhancements. In addition to these, additional features will be enabled in the future. We will have more details regarding these features at that time!
The SoundTouch app will also update with the changes below. The app version, however, will remain the same (23.0.0. of Android and 23.0.4 for iOS). • Fix scrolling issue on Favorites/Presets screen • Other general bug fixes
My system got an update last night (I assume it is this version could not find where I can check the version), and since then I am having issues playing spotify over wifi.
Every other song there is a jump in the middle of the song for a few seconds, it is though the system is buffering the song but not continuously.
Never had this issue in the past having using soundtouch for a few years now mainly with Spotify over wifi.
Hey, This is happening to me as well. I'm in Perth, Australia and we use Spotify with two Bose speakers for our gym classes and every 2 or 3 songs there is a pause for a few seconds. I agree, it sounds like it buffering but I've downloaded the Spotify playlist and still jumps every other song. Super annoying and need a solution ASAP, please.
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing some streaming issues with Spotify since the firmware update. You can check the firmware version through the SoundTouch application.
On your computer, tablet or smartphone, launch the SoundTouch app
Select Menu (≡) > Settings > About
Note: On desktops and tablets, if the Menu icon (≡) is not visible, the slide out menu might already be open
Select the name of the system whose settings you'd like to view
Important system information will be displayed
Thank you also for your post and welcome to the Bose Community.
For both of you, I would recommend resetting your speakers and your routers by removing the power for 30 seconds.
Are you able to test any other music services to see if the same issue persists?
I am with the same problem since yesterday update. In the start of every music (more or less at 10 sec.) that I play from Spotify , there is a jump of 2 seconds.
I’ve got the same problem after the update. Every song pauses part way through before restarting. Please fix this before my partner throws the system out of the window!
