I received the S1 pro last weekend as a gift, a wonderful gift! I do not play any instrument so I am going to use it as a domestic speaker. Connecting the S1 pro via bluetooth or aux, is not possible to regulate the bass, for example.
I was wondering if it is possible to connect the S1 pro and the smartphone or pc via an XLR connector? Thank you.
You can do what you ask about, you will just need to buy a mini jack to male XLR cable and connect the mini jack to your ohone's headphone socket and the XLR plug into input one or two on the S1 Pro.
Alternatively, you should be able to access some sort of graphic equaliser or other sound controls in the app you play the music from on your phone and set it to your desired sound.

Hope this helps.
No that simply won't work, the output from the phone is 'stereo' the inputs to the S1 are 'balanced' (not going to explain here but Google it). You need a TRS minijack to 2 x TS ¼" jacks and use both inputs 1 and 2.
The cable above will split the stereo signal from your phone, tablet, or computer into two separate mono outputs. You can then connect them to the S1 Pro channels 1 and 2. The color of the plugs doesn't matter.
A cable that connects the 1/8 inch Tip-Ring-Sleeve connection to a single XLR input will not work, or if it does, it will short the left and right outputs together from your phone, tablet or computer. That's not desirable as it may compromise the sound.
Apologies for any confusion Giovanni - listen to ST, he is far more knowledgable than I am! I just thought it would work the way I suggested... I'd stick to bluetooth as a more comfortable option and control the sound from your phone; better than having trailing cables - the bluetooth option works really well when I play music from my phone through the S1 Pro. Good luck!
It's difficult to know the consequences of all the ways that people can connect things - especially when connecting a stereo signal (for example a headphone output) to a mono input. Our S1 Pro systems (and T4S/T8S) combo jacks are balanced. Stereo connections to balanced inputs don't work even if the plugs and jacks let you make the physical connection.
What apps are you using for your Bluetooth connection to the S1 Pro system? Have you found anything you like to control the tone/EQ of streaming music?
I just use the music player that came installed in my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) it has eq settings where you have various presets or can create custom eq settings too. I'm no audiophile but am more than happy with the sound quality I get...
