Support Best Mic For Live Singing

I am a karaoke singer please advise me best microphone which support perfect.

For most live vocals including Karaoke, it’s hard to beat the classic Shure SM58:

(Not sure the link is pasting - you can find it on Amazon or any local music dealer)   Good luck!

Hi Vipen,

Selecting a microphone can be a very personal endeavor. Many factors affect choices, not the least of which is budget.

I would suggest you search online retailers of microphones that you might be able to buy from. Check prices within your budget, then look for user reviews, and data from the maker to try and make an informed choice.

A short list of quality mic makers would include Shure, EV, Audix, Sennheiser, among many others. There are many mics available in the $100 to $200 price range that satisfy the most discriminating users.

O..

SM58 certainly the best bang for the buck.  I have one that is 40 years old and still going strong.

I had the same question last year and having sung in bands for many years and used the Shure SM58 I decided I would do some research and ended up getting a Sennheiser e945. It's a super cardioid mic so you have to get your mouth up really close but it lets no other sound in with its supercardioid pattern. In my opinion It is better than the Shure SM58 and I am seeing more and more professional singers using them. That's my recommendation. The Shure is very old now and although it is a legendary workhorse of a mic, other, better mics have arrived now: Sennheiser e945

Share Beta SM58 has been very reliable and sounds great.

Agree with its Chris M. The 58 was the standard 40 years ago but Sennheiser offers simply a better sound even down in the E845 model. Side by side comparison shows the crispness of the Sennheiser compared to the Shure.

Sennheiser vs Sure debate has been going on for 40 years.  I have used just about everything at one time or another.  Sound is very subjective for sure.  I do agree the Sennheiser is crisper but I prefer the bass boost on the SM58.  Plus I have used them for over 40 years so it's "comfort food."  Kind of like arguing over, Martin vs. Taylor.  Both great choices but the greater factor is the hands playing them.  I have a wireless guitar pick-up by Sennheiser though, that I love.  I just wish the battery lasted longer.

Please check out this previous discussion.

What microphone are you using with your S1 Pro system?

@Rob Wright. Hi Rob, would you mind telling us what Sennheiser wireless pick up you have please. Always looking for great new ways to make playing easier with fewer wires!

Cheers.

Sennheiser SXW-d.  It works great.  I use it for my guitars, banjos, and ukuleles.  Only lasts three hours, though, before you have to recharge.

Cheers Rob. Will check it out??

Agree with @Chris M I have preferred Sennheiser over shure. Obviously it is a personal choice so try them out if possible or find an artist whose sound you particularly like and see what they use.

Hi, Vipen,

Are you using a Bose S1 Pro or a different Bose product? Do you have a ToneMatch mixer (T1, T4S, or T8S)? If you are, you may have more options.
