New discussion for Jerry T. spun off from A very loud room…
Hi Dan,
No stage - everyone, including me was on the gym floor. Actually, the organization had a better response than they had originally anticipated and the venue was moved to a very new gym. The original venue had pretty decent acoustics, but I was told well ahead of time that we were moving to the gym. Everyone seemed happy - folks with hearing aids had the most difficult time - I could see their reaction - I guess those little amps in the aids can’t handle too much stimuli.
I have another question that I suppose should be the topic of a new discussion – but since I’m at it;
Will the T1 Tonematch work as a stand alone mixer - effects and all – with other amp/PA systems? I work in a small restaurant that is very short on space for me. I use a little Barbetta (Sona 31) which is plenty loud but could use some dressing up. I’ve been using the L-1 for about 5 years and have not purchased the T1 because I’ve been satisfied with the results I’m getting, and yes, I’ve become complaisant. It seemed that the T1 would require more effort and time to program and set up than what I use now – so I just lay down and rest until the urge to get one passes. Any observations, not about my complaisance, but about the T1 Tonematch as a mixer with other than the Bose product?
Ciao,
Jerry
Hi Jerry,
I have some personal experience with this and the T1 is hands down the best stand alone mixer I’ve EVER owned. Whether you’re using it with the L1 or 3rd party speakers, it makes ANY speakers sound incredible. So to answer your question… yes, yes and YES! Buy the T1 and you’ll be EXTREMELY pleased.
As far as the learning curve goes, it’s not that bad at all. Can you look at the gauges in the dash of your car understanding which is the oil, gas, battery, speed, tach and temp? Then you can learn how to run a T1! Very user friendly.
Thanks for the response Kova. Sounds like all good stuff - I’m on the verge …
Ciao,
Jerry
