T1 Tonematch with backing track and click track

Can anyone help me?  I want to start using backing tracks but with a click track for my IEM’s).  I’m using a Bose T1 Tonematch with backing track from my iPad into the USB in on the T1.

How do I get my click track (panned left) to my IEM’s and the backing track (panned right) to masters?  Is it even possible?  I’m currently routing USB-IN to channels 4/5 (so I can adjust the channel volume) but I’m not sure where to go from here.  HELP?  Do I need a new mixer?  I’d like to stick with the T1 if possible

Since the T1 is a mono device, I initially didn't think so.  Then I remembered reading an article about this in one of the "Wiki's" that ST-Pro in this community published:  "4/5 are immediately summed to mono and treated the always the same. [However] You could route the left USB channel to the master, and the right USB channel to 4/5, turning the 4/5 channel volume all the way down and using a pre-fade AUX feed for 4/5 to get it out the Aux.  That's certainly a little convoluted but would enable you to route a USB source to two different L1s."

In your case, this would route your right USB source to master (for your mains) and your left USB source to Aux (for your IEMs).  The downside is that you lose any Tonematch processing on your track (since it is being routed directly to Master), and you will need to control that volume from your lPad since you're bypassing the 4/5 volume control.  Also, there is no reverb on Aux ( but I don't know if that even matters for a click track.)

So technically, it can be done but is a workaround.  If you had a stereo mixer (T4s, T8s, or third-party) it would be easy.

Does that help?
