T4S turns off at higher volume

Good morning,

Please see attached a film with T4 powered form L1-II base. The problem is mixer turns off at higher volume like there's not enough power using only digital ToneMatch connection.

Please provide a fix, thank you!

I'm sorry you're having this problem.

How long is the cable from the T4S to the L1 Model II?

Have you tried a different cable?

Thanks,

I had a weird power problem on my T4S as well.  Mine plugs in to an L1 model 1S - actually 2 of them as I run a pair of those in stereo.  One digital connection gets the power and the other transmits sound.

At any rate - the advice here was about running too much off one circuit - maybe a low voltage problem at my house.  I ended up putting one of the L1s on another circuit and I updated the firmware on the T4S.  I don’t know which solved the problem but I haven’t had the problem since.

A last resort for me would have been to use the power adapter for the T4S to plug directly in to power at the wall and go our analog to the L1s with TRS cables.

Don't know if any of that helps. It good luck!

Hello, Steve,

Thank you for the info!

The issue started by using a T8s with digital connection into the L1-II. Noticed the power supply failure therefore connected the T8 with the separate power adapter and analogue connection. This way it's OK.

Afterwards, the user has tested the same configuration with T4s. Digital connection for T4 should work but it doesn't. Power is enough, it's only one L1-II into a 220V ac line.

There's no power adapter included with T4, therefore digital connection is needed. T4 has firmware 1.1.4 and L1 has 1.5.

Forgot to mention: original cable for T4 used.

Hi, FGe.

Please try the T4S and L1 Model II in a different location to eliminate an environmental problem with the AC power.

Please try a different cable. A CAT-5, CAT-6, or CAT-7 cable - less than 7 metres should be fine.

Hello again,

checked voltage, above 220V - no problem with AC power.

checked with different cables, still does the same.

What to do next?
