T4S USB out into Imac into OBS for live stream gig

Hi .

I'm hoping you guys can help, and have maybe had a similar issue as to i am...

I'm hoping to use my T4S ( connected to my L1 MII ) via its USB out into my imac then into OBS, so i can perform a live stream home gig , but using my gear / live setup .

I have followed some youtube videos , i've gotten the USB connected, and it's recognised all ok in my imac etc.. , but the issue it seems is in OBS, as when i go to record a test run, say just the backing track playing for say 30 secs, the recorded level sounds very weak , poor quality , and more like a miced up sound rather than a direct USB feed from my T4S into OBS .

I'm sure i'm doing something wrong somewhere, but as i hoped to do the gig in the coming days i really wanted to get a wonderful exported sound out into OBS and onto facebook live.

Does anyone else stream via OBS onto Facebook via USB T4S etc...

Any and all help would be really welcomed..... otherwise i fear it'll have to be me playing live and loud in the room, and capturing the audio via a rode stereo mic onto top of my Sony A7r ii ( with Anamorphic )

Kindest Regards Guys, be safe, be well.

Hi Davey,

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for stopping by.

Make sure your input trim levels are set suitably on the T4S and tracks are peaking at a healthy level. You can check to make sure the input gain is optimized in the Prefs menu - see pages 17 & 28 in the T4S Owner's Manual for guidance.

Alternatively, there may be some settings to control the input level in OBS. I'm not familiar with this software, but this article on the Streamlabs blog may be of use.

Hope this helps!
