Hello BoseWorld, just received my T8s and would like some info on how to get the best of the mixer in my application.
I am a mobile dj using primarily Pioneer DDJSZ as my main rig. Over the years I have performed at events where several mics were required and in some cases performers have asked to hook up their equipment [Guitar, Sax] to my mixer. So, the need for the T8. I’ve received conflicting information from BOSE pro support so here I am.
*** I would like to hook up the DDJ to the T8 (Stereo XLR or TRS) and then mics and any addl equipment directly also to the T8.
*** What is the best input for the Controller? Aux 9/10 routed L/R through the Master Output? Can the input 9/10 also be routed through any of the Channels 1-8? If not, how can I control (if at all) the signal from 9/10.
*** Can the mixer be connected directly to the T8 [stereo] using any or two of the 8 channels?

Thanks for the background information. That's helpful

If you want to control the volume from the DDJ, then use T8S Aux inputs 9/10. Note: The Aux Inputs are routed directly to the T8S Main Outputs (no processing except Level and Pan). If you need more control, use the full-featured channels 1 through 8.
Can the input 9/10 also be routed through any of the Channels 1-8?
No.
If not, how can I control (if at all) the signal from 9/10.
On the DDJ.
*** Can the mixer be connected directly to the T8 [stereo] using any or two of the 8 channels?
Yes. For example:
DDJ left output to T8S channel 7 DDJ right output to T8S channel 8
Then you have T8S channels 1 through 6 for microphones and other instruments.
What powered loudspeakers are connected to the outputs of the T8S (L1, F1, other)?
2 BOSE F1 but am using an Ev EKS18SP sub and routing both channels to it, then out to 2 F1s
Since you have two F1 Model 812 systems, you have the option of running stereo.
If you want to get stereo with from the DDJ set the pan controls hard left and hard right on the inputs you choose (Aux 9/10 or channels 7 and 😎 as I discussed in my post above.
2 BOSE F1s and an EV EKS18SP Sub. Am running the 2 channels to the sub then output a channel each to the 2 F1s.
Fidelity wise which connection is better; Aux 9/10 or channels 7/8?
They will sound the same except with channels 7 and 8 you have the option to use
ToneMatch Presets There are two T1® Presets specifically Prerecorded Music or more generally, backing tracks.
Category: DJ/Playback Preset: Low Volume Music This is optimized for low volume music. The low bass is boosted to better match the physics/psychoacoustics of our own auditory system.
Category: DJ/Playback Preset: High Volume Music This is optimized for higher volume music. Some of the bass is boosted and some of the upper mids are reduced to have a more natural sound at these higher volumes.
I don't have recommendations about where you should apply the signal processing (or levels) - on the DDJ or the T8S. Apply the processing where it sounds the best and is most convenient for you.
Try channels 7 and 8 with the DJ Presets to see if you like them.
As for Trim levels (applies to channels 7 and 8):
Set the DDJ to the highest output you can without clipping
On the T8S, set the input trim levels so you see solid green on the lights. Occasional flickers of red are okay, but if you see solid red turn down the trim
Hello there again, just trying to figure out if this setup is possible with the T8.
I currently use an audio processor to send Low signals (L/R) to my subs and the Highs (L/R) to my F1s. Question: Can I use the Main Out of the T8 to the sub and use any of the AUX Out to the F1s, Assuming they can be programmed that way, will that be full signals coming out of them? In order words, am looking for 4 full channels Out.
