I just bought an L1 S system yesterday and used it for a rehearsal for the first time this morning.
Let me give some background. The artist is Patrice Jegou (www.patricejegou.com) a female jazz/classical singer performing with a jazz quartet (bass, drums, piano and guitar) and a 12 piece orchestra (strings, horns, woodwinds). This is her first gig with such a setup, and I was extremely concerned about getting the sound right. I was ready to buy whatever system would give a great sound. The Guitar Center guys tried to get me to buy JBL, QSC or EVs. I considered them, but did not like the concept of having to have so many pieces, carry them around, not have a uniform sound and problems with monitoring.
I decided on the Bose L1 S. I got it last night, driving 120 miles back and forth to get the L1S with the tonematch.
BOY, was I surprised!!!! The sound was SO CLEAN!!!! So beautiful!!! So crisp, and cut through, with gorgeous reverb!!! Patrice sounded so good and at the end of it all, I complimented her. She said "That is because I never heard myself so well, so clearly, and so beautifully before"!
The entire band could hear so well. No need for any monitors. I HIGHLY recommend BOSE!!!! I have no vested interest - I could have bough ANY system. I am EXTREMELY satisfied!!!! We cannot wait for the gig. Thanks, BOSE!!! I have NEVER been this excited about a product and never been so satisfied!!!!!
