Do you have to use an external mixer to use the S1 Pro with a Sub1 or Sub2?
The short answer is no.
But, you will be amplifying the full range signal with the S1. Not the most efficient use of the power in that little box, if you have a sub available to carry the load.
By using a mixer and running through the sub first it takes the load of the bottom end and passes on only the higher frequencies for better sound, better balance.

Thank you so much for your descripted answer.It makes perfect sense and I do have a T1 mixer as well.I’m just so spoiled using the S1 for smaller gigs with onboard mixer and reverb and battery operated.
