Are there any recommended presets in the ToneMatch for lavalier style microphones? I see a preset for headworn mics but didn't see anything for lav mics.

Most lavalier style microphones are omnidirectional and clipped on to clothing.
These kinds of microphones might be okay for public speaking and TV talk shows where the loudspeakers cannot be heard well by the person wearing the microphone. But in small stage setups like many here experience, lavalier microphones don't give us sufficient gain-before-feedback to be useful.
What kind of lavalier microphone do you have?
What's the application?
Who is wearing the lavalier microphone?
What is that person's role in whatever is going on?
Yes, lavalier mics generally suck for sound reinforcement applications. As a Wedding DJ they are a necessary evil. At every event were I provide music and sound reinforcement for the ceremony I use two wireless lavalier microphones. One mic / bodypack on the officiant who needs both hands free to read notes or scripture from the couple's holy book of choice. The second lavalier microphone is worn by the groom. He and the bride also need their hands free. A bride wearing a dress doesn't have anywhere to hide a lavalier microphone or the battery pack. The bride's voice is picked up by the groom's omnidirectional lav mic.
I've never asked a couple before, but my guess is that almost none of them would agree to wearing headworn microphones. The gain-before-feedback would certainly be better, but I just don't think it's the look any of them want in their wedding photos.
I currently use a pair of L1 Classics at wedding receptions. And, I currently use a Yamaha StagePas system for ceremony sound. I've been considering upgrades to both of my systems. I'm considering a pair of S1 for ceremonies and considering a number of different options for my "main" reception system.
I'm the type of person who likes research. I've also been looking for ways to reduce the footprint of the gear I bring to my events. One of the things that always tough to find in "DJ" mixers and controllers are microphone inputs. As a wedding DJ you need to be prepared for a lot of situations. Over the years I have provided mics / inputs at the ceremony for the groom, officiant, a singer / vocalist, acoustic guitar, keyboard and other instruments.
This led me to investigate the T4S and T8S. I'm familiar with ToneMatch on my L1 Classics. I'm not able to use those presets in my current setup but I could take advantage of the presets with a T4S or T8S as part of my rig. I very much like the idea of quickly choosing a preset to match my Shure and EV handheld mics, optimizing their EQ settings. I was wondering if I could do the same for the lav mics I use at wedding ceremonies.
I've never been able to get a lav mic to sound "good." At best, I can get them to sound passable. I always struggle, adjusting the EQ and riding the gain throughout the ceremony while praying for a calm day, without wind for the many outdoor ceremonies I work.
I think the T4S or T8S could be a nice addition to my arsenal of tools without a preset for lavalier mics but I thought I would ask to see if anyone uses the presets to help tune a lav mic.
