Hi, I have followed the process for setting up an SM 58, Channel 1, including the set up for proper stage gaining. Even when the Trim is at 0, I see Green Light Indicator fully lit for signal when just talking into the mic. Is this normal?
Also, there tends to be a distortion sounds, only on vocal channel, even though there is no indication of a 'Red' signal on the channel. I am finding that I cannot really make any volume adjustments.
Channel is Set to Pre Set SM 58. I thought perhaps there was something funky with the mic but this is also occurring with a another dynamic as well as condenser mic I have.
Oh, sound output for tracks, guitar, ...all are great and act as intended.

Is there anything between the microphone and the T4S?
Have you tried a different microphone cable?
Do you get the same result when you plug the microphone into T4S channel 2?

If you turn up the trim on channel 1, does it get to the point that you see red on the trim light when speaking or singing loudly, directly into the microphone?

Any help appreciated.
Is this a new problem with the T4S - that is, was it ever okay - and has this just started happening?
