hi

i am looking at buying a Bose TV Speaker however im not sure if it will be compatible with my TV. My TV has 3 HDMI ports, 1 is the ARC port and this port is broken. I understand that the TV Speaker also has a digital optical out in the case that the TV does not support ARC however it does not have an optical in with my TV. It does however have a Coaxial in.

Will this work?

You only need the TV audio output to the speaker.  There is no need for a TV input from the speaker, as there is nothing else going through the speaker.

 

So yes, the TV optical out will be fine
