Two F1 812 systems added to L1 Model II with Yamaha board - How do I connect?

I currently own L1 Model 2 with B2 and T1.  I use it with 3-4 piece Acoustic project  I’m very close to purchasing 2 812’s no subs. looking for advice on running all through 12 channel Yamaha board still being able to use L1 as stage monitor

any help connecting all this would be appreciated

Although our L1 eventually gave up the ghost, we used it as a stage monitor behind us (also gave some out front sound) by using left channel for F1 and right for L1 - all channels panned centre.

Worked a treat as we had same mix on and off stage.

So, connect the 2 812’s together. Run cable from board left to 812 second cable from board right to L1? Sounds to easy!!

Yeh - that’s it! The biggest plus, particularly for self mixing acoustic acts, is the mix on stage is identical to the front mix and it gives a lot of confidence.

Connect Yamaha Board to tone match 4 or 5 or should I go to the input on stand?

i have L1 model 2 with B2 T1. I’d like some advice on connecting 812 tops only using Yamaha 12 channel board, still keeping T1 for Vocal and acoustic guitar. All other through the Yamaha.

You can do it either way.

  • You can connect the mixer left and right outputs to T1 channel 4/5. The T1 was engineered to work with a stereo source (like a mixer).
  • See this article: T1 to F1 Model 812

OR

  • Connect the left and right outputs of the Yamaha board to the first and second F1 Model 812 systems
  • On the Yamaha board, set up an Aux output send to the T1 (or directly to the L1 Model II Power Stand Analog Input). Either is fine. Connecting to the T1 will give you another layer of control.
