Later this month you’ll notice some changes will be made to SiriusXM if you’re a SoundTouch App user or you have SiriusXM presets saved on your speakers. We’ve made some improvements and changes that will give you increases stability and access to additional SXM content.
In order to access the update, you’ll need to make sure you have updated to the latest version of the SoundTouch app and that you are using the most recent firmware for your Bose speaker. You’ll need to add your SiriusXM account details again, even if you’ve connected in the past. You should see a message the next time you launch the app after the update:
You can also tap the menu icon in the upper left in the SoundTouch App -> Add Service -> Sirius XM -> Log in to your existing account information and choose “Add Account”.
Remember, once the update is live you won’t be able to access SXM in the SoundTouch App or presets until you log into your account, even if you used it previously. You will need to add your presets again.
We’ll post release notes once the update is live so and hope you enjoy these updates!
Update! Corrected information about presets post update.
I finished the update, but can't log back into SiriusXM because it doesn't show up as an option anymore under "services" or even "add service." Are you sure SiriusXM is still compatible with SoundTouch?
I did the update and now am unable to sign-in to my SiriusXM to add to the app. I contacted Sirius and reset my password, uninstalled and reinstalled the app and I'm still unable to sign in to my Sirius account. I am able to sign on to Sirius on my other devices.
I'm sorry you haven't been able to log back into Sirius since the latest update. SiriusXM is definitely still compatible with SoundTouch in the US and Canada. I will be able to help you get this back up and running.
, It is odd that the option has disappeared completely. What device are you using the SoundTouch app on?
Have you tried adding SiriusXM from the app on another device at all? If not, I would recommend doing so if possible and seeing if the option is showing there.
, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and checking the Sirius log-in details were correct, are both great steps to take to resolve this. Same as I have asked LeeS, have you tried using the app on another device at all?
Seeing as this has started since the latest app update, I would recommend you both restarting the device running the app and your speakers to refresh the connection between the app and your speakers.
I hope this helps, let me know what the results are.
Since the update, under music services I'm only able to add Amazon, Deezer, Spotify, Music Library on NAS, Tunein and Music Library on Computer. Those are the only options I see. I don't have another device to compare with. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?
Sirius finally had a fairly long run of working (except for the info on the display), including relatively stable on-demand playback.
Congratulations, Bose, you broke it again. My speaker now won’t play Sirius if I’ve been listening to it on the app within the last hour. I get "your Sirius account is logged in elsewhere" even if I log out from the app.
So so apparently nobody ever heard of wanting to listen in the house after getting out of the car.
Its unbelievable that that every update makes this product worse.
