On the T1, is there anyway to use USB as an insert on the signal part?
I mean something like
mic -> preamp -> USB -> computer -> USB -> channel or master
From the manual, it seems that USB out is always post-fader, which means this setting would not be possible. But maybe I’m missing something?
Hi barmin,
Thank you for joining the Forum.
I’ve come back to this a couple of times and can’t quite wrap my head around it.
Could you specify where the T1® appears in the signal chain?

The USB outputs (left and right) can be assigned to the Aux buss and that can be pre-fader.

I think he's trying to use the USB off of the T1 as an insert...
So,
Mic -->T1 --->T1 USB Out for efx ----> USB return to T1 ---->OUT
At least that's how I read it. Don't think it can be done. But I could be wrong.
Thanks for your answers.
Tom is right in his attempt to guess what I was meaning. Sorry that I wasn’t clear.
ST’s suggestion would probably work:
Mic → T1 → T1’s aux → T1 USB out → computer → USB return to T1 → OUT
… but this does not solve my problem, because I need to do this on two separate tracks.
Yesterday I tried:
Mics → USB Sound card → Computer → USB return to T1 tracks 4&5 → OUT
This works great, but I was hoping to get rid of the sound card, both to get a simpler setup and benefit of the T1’s great preamps.
