Thought I might run a little question by you if that is OK. I am a KJ in the Melbourne / Palm Bay area of Florida and I have been using a Bose L1 S1 speaker system for the last 5-6 years and love it. I dumped the huge Crown Amp (60 pounds) and 4 speakers on stands for the Bose years back and never looked back. Smaller venues like Moose, VFW and American Legion and the people love my sound. Using a Mackie Pro FX 12 mixer and like Bose suggests, I crank all the balance controls left and use the left channel output the my Bose, with a TRS cable. I want to get a second Bose system, separate then by 20 feet and use separate channels with TS cables and balance controls in the center, using both outputs L & R Any thoughts?
Edit Subject: Previously "Using a pair of L1 S1" The Bose S1 looks like this
Based on " I have been using a Bose L1 S1 speaker system for the last 5-6 years" I assume you mean a Bose L1 Model 1S.

Great.

Yes, that's good.
and use separate channels with TS cables
Use two 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) Tip-Ring-Sleeve cables. The 1/4 inch outputs of the Mackie Pro FX12 are balanced outputs and it is best to maintain the balanced connection to the L1 Model 1S systems. 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) Tip-Ring-Sleeve cables will do that.
