I know these are mono and that's fine. Why not just use channel 1 for left and channel 2 for right?

You can use input 1 for the left channel and input 2 for the right, but make sure both L1 channels have the same EQ and volume settings to maintain the balance.
Alternatively, you can connect from your keyboard's headphones output (or its dedicated mono output, if it has one) with a single cable.

thanks. That’s what I thought but there is so much talk about the left cancelling out or interfering with the right side when only using one mono array, I wanted to make sure the sound would not be compromized before forking out the 2k for the L1 pro16
