Wave Soundtouch 4 Bluetooth Connection

Hope I could get helped here.

I have given up the connection between Wave sound touch 4 and iPad, but I am giving a go again, wishing I could enjoy online music in better sound.

I reinstalled SoundTouch app to iPad

I restored factory setting by pressing the control button and reconnecting power. (I’m not sure if I made it)

The SoundTouch icon finally appeared on the app.

During naming the speaker, error message came up which says ‘ Can’t connect. Something happened and we couldn’t add the speaker to your SoundTouch account. Please try again later’

I tried the procedure several times but never be successful.

Is there a chance the factory setting hasn’t been restored and previous memory interferes?

Any iPad setting I should check?

Would it be possible to connect without application?

Any other solution? I simply like to listen online music with my Wave.

Thank you for your help.

Hello CLF,

Thanks for posting.

You can find troubleshooting information for Bluetooth connectivity on this page here.

If you wish to reset the pedestal, please follow these instructions:

To restore the factory default settings of the SoundTouch pedestal:

Note: This reset erases all settings and returns your product to its default out-of-box state. Once reset, open the SoundTouch app to reconfigure your product.

  1. On the back of the Wave system, check that the Bose link connection is secure
  2. If connected, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the pedestal
  3. On the back of the Wave system, disconnect the power cord
  4. On the back of the pedestal, press and hold the Control button and, while holding it, reconnect the power cord to the Wave system
  5. When the light on the pedestal begins blinking white (about five seconds), release the Control button
  6. Wait until the light on the adapter is solid amber. (Note: While resetting, the light will change colors and blink patterns for up to 4 minutes)
  7. If previously connected, reconnect the Ethernet cable

I hope this helps!
