What Cables do i use?

So, after some consideration, I purchased 2 X bose L1 Model S1 systems... my plan is to run one as a left channel and one as right. I have an old but trusty Numark CD mixer which i plug my laptop into, and on the rare occasion, play a CD through.   

Am I overthinking, or do i just need and XLR to 1/4 inch cable to run from each Bose base to my Mixer??   Is it really that simple??

It is indeed that simple! You would just need two 1/4" male to XLR female cables, like this:

Either balanced or unbalanced would be fine for a short cable run. For more info on balanced vs unbalanced, see here.
