Thank you for your contributions to the community!
Sometimes you may write something and it does not appear. Did it get deleted? If you don't get a notice from us about your post, here is what is happening.
- Our community platform uses an automated engine to detect and quarantine spam. This protects the community from having to read inappropriate content. Sometimes, the spam engine will misinterpret your post as spam. Your post will disappear.
- If you re-post a duplicate message, the spam engine will catch that too.
- The spam engine does not notify the person that a post has been removed. Most of the time the person who posts spam is not actually a person. It's a spam bot. There's no reason to send a notice.
If you're human, this is not good. It feels like Bose is deleting your posts without explanation.
Going forward, we are going to check regularly for posts that have been caught by the spam engine inappropriately. We will put them back online.
If you find that one of your posts has disappeared, please post a reply here and we'll investigate that immediately.
Thank you!

Note:
Occasionally we remove posts1 and when we do, we notify the person who wrote the post through a private message

Over in the QC35 Issue Reports and Current Status Discussion, there were several posts that got caught by the spam engine. There appear to have been a disproportionate number of posts caught there. That's attributable to the length of the discussion. It's been running since March 7, 2017, with hundreds of posts. It's not because we were censoring the posts. If we remove posts, we notify the author with a private message1 .
We noticed that people were mentioning that their posts were disappearing. We investigated at our end and found those posts in the spam quarantine area. We released them today with the unfortunate side effect of creating a flurry of notifications and cluttering the discussion with near-duplicate posts. We're sorry about that.
