Me... Everytime I pick up the S1 with one hand and marvel at how little it weighs, I fall in love again! How about you? Why do you love your S1 Pro?

Hey there Archtop,
I had some issues with it, one being no master volume and the tone match mic. I found a work around for that but held my breath. From my past experience with small cones the clarity can be humbling, as your mistakes become crystal clear. The little box grew on me the more I used it. First its size, second the battery power, both sound very very close to each other the outlet has a bit more responsiveness then on the battery power, but it is slight. It is sturdy and the projection for this little 40 watt speaker is indeed impressive. It easily filled a large room. I love the size, the portability, and actually like the slip cover. It has more bass then I expected and again there is the sound quality that Bose is known for. The total lack of hiss coming from the speaker leaves me wondering if it is on. Bose I hope your back pack is as well thought out as this little box because this is a little gem.

Believe it or not this is the video that pushed me into to trying the S1 pro:
I do a lot of venues where no AC power is available. Up until the Bose S1 Pro, there were not a lot of options. My Carvin D400D with the extra battery and extension speaker and a lot of weight would get about 3 hours of use, at best, before cutting out and requiring lowering the volume. Using a Behringer Xenix 1002B battery powered mixer, gives me 9 channels to mix microphones and instruments into the S1 Pro. My main style is Hawai'i and Polynesian live acoustic music. I use a separate Roland Microcube RX Bass for the bass player and typically 3 microphones for vocals. Using the headphone out with an adapter to the 1/8" input on channel 3 of the S1 Pro the volume control becomes the master volume on the S1 Pro. The trick is understanding gain staging to getting the cleanest sound, along with the least amount of noise. Maybe in the future, Bose will make a battery powered ToneMatch for the S1 Pro. I do plan on getting a second S1 Pro for more coverage.
I just did two gigs -- yesterday and today. A small bar and a small restaurant. Five minutes to set up, five minutes to tear down. Played both gigs using battery-power so I didn't have to mess with an extension cord. More reasons why I love my S1 Pro!
I love the portability and ease of set-up, and find that getting sound right is easy and intuitive, with great bass presence. I also truly love using the S1 Pro as my go-to acoustic guitar amplifier when not in P.A. mode. It sounds as good as the best acoustic amp I ever used. Also, love blasting tunes from my I-Pod via Bluetooth channel!
Sound, weight, size, flexibility and look!
I love the simplicity.
Used the S1 Pro at a small bar gig in Pueblo this weekend. Wasn't sure if it would be enough so brought the Compact as well. As it turned out, I didn't need or use the Compact. The S1 Pro keeps surprising me and putting a smile on my face. This is the fourth gig location I've been able to swap out a bigger rig and start bringing just the S1 Pro. Less stuff to lug in, less weight to carry, less time to set up, less clutter on the stage. What's not to love?
Also, Tom Munch and his wife, Jennifer -- who live in Pueblo -- came by to check out my gig. Thanks guys for the support! As you all know, anytime you're in a new, unfamiliar venue, it's wonderful to see people there to support you.
