Wiring 591 ceiling speakers as rear surround into existing acoustimass surround system

I am planning on wiring a pair of 591 ceiling speakers in the kitchen behind my TV viewing area to serve double duty as rear surround speakers when watching TV and for better room coverage in the kitchen when playing music in 5-speaker stereo mode.  My question is this - since these speakers were designed to cover the full range of frequencies (unlike the tiny cube speakers that come with the accoustimass), should the 591’s be wired into the accoustimass module or directly into my receiver? (I’m guessing the latter?)

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Dan

I would plug them directly into your receiver.  I doubt the Bose Acoustimass module would provide the proper power to these speakers.
