Yamaha MG10XU MIXER CONNECT TO LI BOSE (GEN1)

How do I connect my Yamaha MG10XU mixer to the Bose L1 (gen1) to get the best utilization of the mixer and the speaker.  I usually have all 4 lines on the mixer being used at one time.  How do I connect the 2 and with what type of connector.

Hi Alexander,

Thank you for joining the Community.

  • Use the ¼ inch phone jack (Tip-Sleeve) outputs to the PS1 Powerstand, Channels 1 and 2 if you want to use the presets and the Tone and Level Controls on the R1 Remote
    OR
  • Channels 3 and 4 if you don't need the Presets and the R1 Remote.

You can use 1/4 inch Tip Sleeve unbalanced cables, or  Tip Ring Sleeve balanced cables, but since the ¼ inch phone connections at the Bose Classic and Model I Power Stand are unbalanced there is no particular benefit using balanced cables.

¼ Inch Tip-Sleeve (unbalanced) to ¼ Inch Tip-Sleeve (unbalanced)

Tip-Sleeve to Tip-Sleeve

This should work fine.

from the mixer ST OUT on the mixer.

Hi Alexander,

Aha - this is easier.  Thanks for the pictures.  We have an article that should help.

Yamaha MG10

Does that help?

Sorry for all the confusion and thank you for the quick response.  This helps and I look forward to trying it out.   I will provide feedback after my gigs.
