YouTube Music 2021

Just got a Bose 300 for my daughter's Christmas, SPECIFICALLY because it says support's google assistant. She used google assistant 99% of the time to say "Play xxxx" and it plays effortlessly on her YouTube music.

I was totally DISAPPOINTED to find that after setting this all up on Christmas day, then she excitedly said "play xxx" it annoying replied "you tube music is not supported" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You MUST be joking!!

How can you say it supports google assistant when it doesn't support the MAIN use of it!! A total and complete JOKE!!!

Can you confirm immediately when this will be supported? Or this pile of junk will be swiftly returned... and I'll buy a box that ACTAULLY works...

It's been a long time since this was first raise with BOSE. Can you confirm if/when this is coming, or simply if you are not going to implement it, so your loyal customers (many waiting more than a year), actually know what's going on... this really is appalling to still know NOTHING!!

Hey there,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Bose Community. Sorry to hear that you aren't satisfied with your purchase due to the system not supporting Youtube Music.

The system does support a wide range of other music services. We don't currently have any information on when you can expect to see this feature added. This has been raised by a few users as a future feature request.

If you have any further questions about the system please do let us know.

I was amazed to just see a Bose reply in my inbox to my query saying it was marked "BOSE BEST ANSWER".. and marked as "Solved".... Solved???? Are you serious?

The post was about the lack of you-tube music and the total and complete failure to supply any 'useful' or constructive information of it's progress, or even if it's on Bose development path, neverminded when?

So unless you have a you-tube music feature, or at least have some real update to you customer base to see it's being worked on, I think it's disingenuous to the extreme to make the post as a "solved".. and mark THAT reply as a solution!

A Solution to what?

Q. Is there you-tube support... no

Q. Is there one coming soon... no

Q. Is there any confirmation Bose are even doing one... no.

Unbelievable...

Recently given a Bose 500 speaker as a birthday present. Gutted to discover its not compatible with YouTube Music as very happy with this service and not willing to swop to Spotify. As result the Bose 500 will be returned forthwith

I recently won a 500 i was excited also to see it had Google assistant but devastated that i can't use you tube music on it... especially seeing Google pay no longer exists!  I don't understand why its not a option?   please explain  why you tube music isn't a option?

Good freakin luck. We've had our bose 500 over two years. We purchased it because sales told us specifically google assistant and music will be supported soon.

It took over one year then Google assistant was released! I was ecstatic until I set it up. No google app support and zero answers.

Do yourself a favour and get a Sonos.

I will keep posting this until we get an answer. They deleted my last post within minutes. I guess they really don't care about their customers.

Don't buy a Bose product if you want google app support.

We bought our Smart Home 500 two years ago on the promise via email and in person at the local Bose storefront of google support. What did they do? They implemented Google Assistant which doesn't work properly and no support for google apps.

The bluetooth always breaks and even on wifi we get stuttering using the built in siriusXM support.

Bose used to stand for quality. Now they stand for ignorance and greed.

Still waiting for an official comment from Bose.
