THANK YOU, Bose! I bought my QCs in the spring and I thought I'd wasted $300 on earbuds I couldn't use. By chance, I happened to see the post about the new ear-tip size test kits last week, and was able to order a set.
Today, I walked half a mile in sweaty, humid 95-degree heat and my earbuds stayed put the entire time without a single adjustment! The new sizes are a success for me! Thanks for your attention to this matter.
Hello! I am one of the many customers who have problem with the fitting of the QC earbuds. All three sizes of the ear tips do not fit good in my ears. I just saw the Andy_B about teat kits with different kind of sizes for the ear tips and i would like to ask what about the customers from other countries? I am from Bulgaria and how can i get this kit? Am I going to be able to buy these new sizes ear tips in the near future? Please provide more info because if these limited kits are all that's going to be offered, it's going to be a huge joke for every customer from other countries other than Canada and the US. Thank you in advance.
Wow, just bought these QuietComfort Earbuds (almost new) and boy do they slip right out of the ears, like my ears actually repel them! every single size every single way of twisting, prodding, wiggling and POP! they're out a few seconds later.
There is absolutely no way I'm walking out the door with £200 of technology about to drop out of my ear.
The problems seems to be the softness and rigidity of the silicone. The wingtip is too flexible and bends out from under the conch bit it's supposed to sit under and the umbrella part of it has no gripping properties.
This is especially lacking if you have the middle aged problem of increasing ear hair (yes I have even trimmed my ears to ensure a better fit)
The silicone rubber is just way too slick and can't get any purchase to set up any tension between it and the wingtips, like trying to push against something on a shiny kitchen floor wearing only your softest socks. I can't help but think the wing tip could do with slim aluminium wire or steel sprung wire in them so that they would bend and stay in place.
I can't seem to find any third party solutions to this, and a year after the release of the product it seems Bose are being veeeery slow at offering ear tips with alternative sizing or materials.
As Bose seem to be closing this forum in a couple of weeks, and the only thing about this on their support page is a video showing how easy it is to put Quietcomfort earbuds in, I guess we'll never know about alternative fitting eartips.
As I seem to have spent hours researching solutions and trying to figure out how to keep them in, I'm wondering if it might be easier to just put them up on eBay and invest in over the ear headphones instead. I can't afford to spend £200 on something I'm too afraid to wear anywhere.
Is anyone from Bose going to answer before this forum closes? How can the people, living in Europe get the kits with different size tips? It is ridiculous if there is no option for customers worldwide to be unable to get these kits. Everyone has paid a big price for these earbuds and want the same opportunity. We need feedback.
